Camden Museum has an amazing collection of over 3000 catalogued items which help tell 'the story of Camden' in the exhibitions throughout the Museum. Most of these items have been generously donated by local residents and supporters.

Here is a list of some of the things which the Museum would like to add to the collection.

To be suitable additions, items need to be small and have an association with a local person or family, or have a story behind them.

  • Aboriginal artefacts
  • Old photographs and documents of local significance
  • Old paintings or sketches of the district
  • Commemorative ware
  • Wartime photographs, letters, diaries or memorabilia
  • Medals, badges and awards
  • Old-fashioned decorative china
  • Jewellery such as cameos, brooches and necklaces
  • Camden Show memorabilia or trophies
  • Old sporting trophies
  • Small metal toys such as tin soldiers or wooden toys
  • Small steam-powered 'donkey' engine

  • If you have an item to offer to the Museum, contact the the Camden Historical Society Secretary
Leave details of the item, and the Secretary will arrange for a member of the Society to contact you.
